At the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Institute of Communication Technology, the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks in the 6G-life Research-Hub “Digital transformation and sovereignty of future communication networks” offers a position as

Research Associate (m/f/x)

(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting as soon as possible. The position is initially limited until August 14, 2025. The period ofemployment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD).


The research activities are in the area of Molecular Communication Networks with the following topics: • Establishment of network models for biological systems • Development of a simulation environment for bio communication networks • Design and evaluation of network protocols for an Internet of Bio-Nano Things.


Requirements: university degree (Diploma/Master) in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science; knowledge in the area of communication networks suitable to start research in the above topics; programming skills, very good communication skills in English and possibly in German; team-orientation is essential.
