Dr. Satoshi Endo is a Senior Researcher at the Chair of Information-oriented Control at TUM. His research focuses on human-centred control and physical HRI, particularly in rehabilitation robotics and clinical decision support. He develops computational models of human sensorimotor behaviour informed by neuroscience to enable adaptive HRI and distributed sensing for user monitoring. This work supports the analysis of human motion, adaptive assistance in robotic systems, and multimodal sensing for assessing motor function and neurological disorders. His research integrates interpretable and uncertainty-aware data-driven methods with grey-box models that incorporate physical knowledge within learning-based frameworks. These developments are complemented by behavioural and neurophysiological studies aimed at capturing neuroscientific principles underlying human sensorimotor function.
