6G-life Presents Transfer Ecosystem at the BMFTR “Demo Days” in Berlin

From June 18 to 19, 2026, the 6G-life Transfer Hub, alongside its startup incubator launchhub42, participated in the “Demo Days” hosted by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR) in Berlin. Under the event’s central theme, “Secure & Connected,” the event focused on discussions regarding resilient communication networks and their significance for national digital strategies.

In parallel with the ongoing online consultation by the German federal government on the new high-tech agenda, 6G-life made it clear in Berlin that key technologies, such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and climate-neutral mobility, cannot be viewed in isolation. These innovations cannot realize their full potential on the road or in industry without a digital foundation.

Resilient, fast, and secure communication networks, such as 6G, are the essential nervous system that will connect these future technologies, make them scalable, and sustainably secure Germany’s technological sovereignty.

During the two-day event in Berlin, the team demonstrated how they are building the bridge between cutting-edge research and economic practice. A special highlight on day two was the opening remarks by Alexandra-Gwyn Paetz, Head of the Technological Sovereignty & Innovation Division at the BMFTR. Her remarks reflected the core mission of 6G-life: to strengthen innovation and resilience through a robust ecosystem of science and industry.

Thomas Höschele illustrated what a success story looks like when he presented the impressive success story of Campus Genius, a startup that is a prime example of successful technology transfer from the hub to the market.

Our incubator launchhub42 showcased four pioneering startups on the demo floor: Haptic Labs (tactile feedback), Twin Cube (digital twins), Soron Systems (advanced sensing), and Olive Robotics (modular robotics).

The future is digital – but it only becomes reality through secure, functioning networks. The 6G-life teams from Dresden and Munich return with fresh momentum to continue building this infrastructure.
