Dariusz O’Leary completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Psychopathology / Clinical Neuropsychology at the Ludwig-Maximilians -Universität in Munich. He then went on to obtain a master’s degree in Human Cognitive Neuropsychology at the University of Edinburgh, where he investigated expansions of peri-personal space during motor planning. As of February 2022, Dariusz is working on his PhD within the 6G-life project at the Lifespan Developmental Neuroscience chair of the TU Dresden. His research concerns the principles of multisensory perception within virtual and augmented reality environments and the effect age has on these. A specific example is the investigation of the effects of eliciting full-body illusions in virtual reality on multisensory interaction.
