Mr. Jamshidi received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Tehran, Iran, in 2006. He was with the advanced communication research institute (ACRI), SUT, as a Researcher from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he was a senior researcher with High-Frequency Technology (HFT) Institute, Deutsche Telekom University of Applied Sciences, Leipzig, Germany. He worked in the HFT and Photonics Lab of the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) from 2012 to 2013. Since 2013, he is a faculty member of the Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Mr. Jamshidi is a senior member of IEEE and OPTICA.
