From September 10 to 12, 2025, EURECOM in Sophia Antipolis, near Nice, hosted the international Workshop on Entanglement-Assisted Communication Networks (EACN). The event, organized by Janis Nötzel and Christian Deppe together with Boulat Bash and Uzi Pereg, with logistical support from Arun Padakandla, Fatma Gouiaa, and Husein Natur, brought together experts from academia and industry from around the world.
The scientific program provided an overview of the latest innovations in the use of quantum entanglement for communication networks. Topics such as new network architectures, secure quantum communication, and potential future applications sparked lively and in-depth discussions.
Among the highlights was a visit to the CNRS laboratories in Nice, where cutting-edge research on building the quantum internet is underway. Additionally, a poster session gave doctoral students the opportunity to present their research and engage with colleagues.
