When: July 8th 2022, 5:00 pm
Where: Barkhausen-Bau, foyer (Georg-Schumann-Straße 9, 01187 Dresden)
Once a year, Dresden’s universities, non-university research institutions and science-related companies open their doors to the public. Throughout the city, a wide variety of formats invite visitors to experience science and technology, research and innovation, art and culture up close. From 17:00-00:00, a colorful program of lectures, experiments, guided tours and participatory shows awaits all interested parties. Students, families, senior citizens and of course tomorrow’s young researchers are invited, in short: all night owls who want to experience research interactively and expand their own knowledge.
Our interactive exhibition offers an insight into current digitization research. Visitors can experience modern network communication up close. With our interactive exhibits such as mobile kitchen or digital surfboard, we look into the future of robotics, virtual reality and tactile internet.
Throughout the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften, our interactive exhibits, so-called demonstrators, will be on display in the Barkhausen Bau. Scientists will be in charge of their exhibits and explain the current research findings on digital network communication, AI, 5G, tactile internet or robotics behind them. 6G-life will present the Hello Robot Demo, where interested people can interact with a robotic hand via hand gestures.
