IEEE Information Theory Workshop 2025

From September 29 to October 3, 2025, the IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW) took place in Sydney, one of the most renowned international conferences in the field of information theory. The German research project 6G-life was prominently represented, underlining its growing international visibility through both scientific presentations and an in-depth tutorial.

A key highlight of the program was the tutorial on “Information Theory in Molecular Communication: Channel Modeling and Analysis”, presented by Johannes Rosenberger (TU Munich, 6G-life) and Marcel Mross (TU Braunschweig). The tutorial was prepared in collaboration with Christian Deppe (TU Braunschweig), Wolfgang Kellerer (TU Munich), Holger Boche (TU Munich), Alexander Wietfeld (TU Munich), and Yaning Zhao (TU Braunschweig) — all contributing significant results from within the 6G-life project.

6G-life research was also featured in the main scientific program, with presentations by Christian Deppe, Janis Nötzel, Nilesh Kumar, and Johannes Rosenberger. Their talks covered a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from information-theoretic foundations of classical and quantum communication systems to innovative approaches for secure and efficient networks.
