Antonio Panes obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico in 2012. In 2013, he moved to Dresden, Germany to pursue further academic specialization obtaining a Master’s degree in Molecular Bioengineering (2015) and a Doctoral degree in Engineering (2024) on the topic “Gas sensors and Biosensors based on Functionalized Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes” at TU Dresden. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology, TU Dresden working on the optimization of nanomaterial-based sensing platforms.
