one6G Summit 2025

Our team is pleased to present at one6G Summit 20252 in Bologan, the results of advanced research conducted in collaboration with the Chair of Communication Networks at the Technical University of Munich and the MITI (TUM) research group.

Researchers Nicolai Kröger and Razvan-Mihai Ursu will present the study:

➡️ Optimized Network Placement of Modular Application Functions (MAF) for Medical Applications

Scientific contribution

The work proposes an optimization approach for the network placement of modular application functions (MAF), with a particular focus on medical use cases. The methodology allows for:

  • more efficient distribution of network resources,
  • a reduction in latency and bottlenecks,
  • increased reliability and security of critical applications.

This result opens up new perspectives in the integration of next-generation networks with the stringent requirements of the healthcare sector, representing a concrete step towards enabling 6G-based medical services.
