At this year’s Thinknet 6G Summit in Nuremberg, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers came together to discuss the latest developments and future visions for 6G — from new network architectures and key technologies to societal impacts and real-world application scenarios.
Alongside keynotes and panel discussions, our 6G-life team presented current research and interactive demos in the exhibition area. We were especially honored to welcome Dr. Alexandra-Gwyn Paetz, Head of Department 5 at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, who explored our demo on “Haptic Teleoperation via Advanced 5G.”
On the second day, the focus shifted to “6G Activities and Initiatives in Germany”, featuring a presentation by Prof. Wolfgang Kellerer, Head of the Chair of Communication Networks at the Technical University of Munich. He highlighted the close collaboration between TU Dresden and TU Munich within 6G-life, including projects like the “Resilient 6G Network Challenge” with 6GEM and launchhub42, which emerged from 6G-life to strengthen the innovation ecosystem.
After two inspiring days, our researchers returned to Dresden and Munich with fresh ideas and new collaborations for shaping the next generation of intelligent, connected systems. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Bayern Innovativ GmbH for their excellent organization of the event.
