Valentin Le Mesle received in 2018 the M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from ISAE Supméca (Paris, France) and the M.Sc. in Automation and Robotics from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (Nantes, France). He received the PhD Degree in Robotics from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes in 2022. For his doctoral thesis he worked with the French company MG-Tech (Champtocé-sur-Loire, France) on the design and optimization of a 5-DOFs delta-like architecture for high-speed pick-and-place operations. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) of the Technical University of Munich, and works on the design of dexterous end-effectors for Robot-Assisted Minimally Invasive Surgery. His research interests include the design and control of robots, sensor design and haptic rendering.
