Florian Roth received his Dipl.-Ing. Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2020 at the TU Dresden. During his studies he spent one semester at EPFL in Switzerland. In his diploma thesis he worked on deep learning based joint source-channel coding for 1-bit quantization. He joined the Vodafone Chair at TU Dresden in July 2020 as a Ph.D. student. His research interests include spike-based signaling for very energy-efficient communication and sensing in the wideband regime and task-based analog-to-digital conversion.
